Over the last few years I’ve picked up on some basic personality types that tend to work well online versus those who have a tough time. It’s very individual though, so this is just a basic starting point.
Those well suited for online therapy:
~Teenagers who want therapy and are asking for it
~Someone who wants to work on relationship dynamics with parents, friends, teachers, etc
~Someone who spends a lot of time on FaceTime with friends already and is comfortable with it
~Someone who is over scheduled, tired and needs to skip the drive time
Those better suited for in office therapy:
~Someone with severe depression (see video for more explanation)
~Someone who is resistant to therapy
~Family therapy
